You have probably been quoted one number and invoiced another at least once in Dubai. Our pricing model exists because of that: fixed quotes agreed before work starts, an inspection fee that is refunded when you proceed, and no hourly rates that reward slow work. Here is exactly how it works and where the money goes.
How our pricing works: fixed quotes before work starts, AED 200 refundable inspection fee, no hourly surprises. Honest Dubai maintenance pricing. Call +971 50 1
Diagnosing a fault properly takes a technician's time, equipment and travel, so we charge AED 200 for the initial inspection. If you proceed with the quoted work, or take an annual contract, the fee is refunded in full against that work. If you decline, you have paid AED 200 for a documented diagnosis with photographs and findings, which you can take anywhere. The wrong model is a free inspection, which contractors recover by inflating the repair or inventing work. The right model pays for diagnosis as diagnosis, and nothing else. We do not run free surveys that turn into sales visits. The fee buys a real assessment by a directly employed technician, and the report is yours either way.
Hourly pricing rewards the slow and punishes the unprepared. Fixed quotes reward preparation, which is why every repair is quoted as a complete job: labour, standard consumables, access and reinstatement. You approve the number before work starts and that is the number you pay, unless you change the scope or we uncover something genuinely hidden, in which case we stop, explain and re-quote before continuing. No work proceeds on a vague estimate. The wrong way is the common Dubai experience of a low starting price that grows with every visit. Our quotes itemise what is included and, just as importantly, what is not, so nothing is discovered later by accident on your invoice.
Prices vary with real factors and we state them rather than hiding behind standard rates. Access difficulty, for example a roof void or a riser in a tower requiring FM permits. Timing, because out-of-hours, Friday and emergency work carries premium rates confirmed before dispatch. Parts, because genuine components carry manufacturer pricing while pattern parts cost less and last less; we quote both options where relevant. Unit type and age, because a twenty-year-old system takes longer to service than a modern one. Season, because peak-summer emergency work is priced at emergency rates. What never changes: the quote you approved. Annual contract clients additionally get contracted rates on parts and repairs, which is one of the contract's main financial advantages.
We will not pretend the cheapest maintenance is free maintenance. The savings sit in prevention, and they are measurable. A serviced AC system runs noticeably cheaper on DEWA than a fouled one, every month, all summer. A traced and repaired refrigerant leak costs a fraction of the compressor it eventually kills. A thermal inspection of your DB board costs less than a single damaged circuit. A cleared condensate line costs less than one ceiling replacement. These comparisons are the honest sales pitch for scheduled work over reactive work, and they are why we sometimes tell enquirers that a small unit needs one annual service rather than a quarterly contract. Pricing you can trust includes advice you did not ask for and do not need to take.
Straight answers, before you book.
It is refunded in full against any work or contract you proceed with following the inspection. If you decide not to proceed, the fee stands as payment for the documented diagnosis and report, which you keep. We state this before booking so there is no ambiguity later.
No. Fixed quotes include labour, standard consumables, travel and access. The only additions are parts, which are itemised and priced before fitting, or scope changes you approve in advance. Emergency and out-of-hours premiums are confirmed on the phone before dispatch, never added afterwards.
We do not publish standard job prices, because honest quotes depend on access, timing, parts and unit condition, and a generic list would be misleading in one direction or the other. After inspection you get an itemised fixed quote valid for a stated period, with no obligation to proceed.
